Getting Started Ordering With Chefstat
In this tutorial I am going to go over creating an order with Chefstat, step by step.
Step 1: Create the new order
The first thing you need to do is to create the new blank order. You click the Create an Order on the top left to do this.
Step 2: Select the purveyor
The next step is selecting the purveyor from the purveyor dropdown list.
If this is your first order, and you don't have any purveyors set up yet please take a look at the purveyor tutorial to see how to add new ones.
Step 3: Set the subject
The subject works the same way as an email subject; it is a place for you to add a few important notes about your order.
Chefstat sends the order notifications to the purveyors via email, and this will be used as the email's subject as well.
Step 4: Add a product to your order
Now add your products to the order. Note that Chefstat will suggest items from the library as you start to enter the product. You can either choose one from the Chefstat library, or add your own product. As soon as you add a product which is not already in the system Chefstat automatically adds it to your personal list.
Step 5: Adding product details
Once you add a product you set the quantity and unit.
You can also optionally add prices to your products; if you do Chefstat will save this information, so next time you order the product it will automatically load the details for you.
Step 6: Adding additional items to your order
There are two ways to add new rows to an order; you can click the Add Row link to add a single row, or the Add Multiple Rows link to add several rows at once.
Step 7: Sending your order
Once your order is complete you click the Send Order button, and Chefstat sends the order to your purveyor.
